INGREDIENTS
- 5 Eggs
- 400g (500ml) white sugar
- 500g self raising flour
- 5ml baking powder
- salt
- 250g margarine
- 250ml milk
- 12,5ml vanilla
- cherries, nuts, etc for on top
METHOD
- Place paper cake forms in kolwyntjie pans
- Beat eggs and sugar for 15minutes (yes, 15min!)
- Sift flour and powder and salt
- Fold in egg mix
- Heat margarine and milk together until melted
- mix with flour mixture
- add vanilla
- dish in forms 2/3 full and garnish with cherries/nuts/etc
- bake at 180c for 12 minutes until golden brown
