Sponge Cake



INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Eggs
  • 125ml Sugar
  • 25ml Water
  • 125ml Flour
  • 125ml Maize Flour
  • 2ml Baking Powder
  • Salt

METHOD

  1. Beat the egg yolk, water and sugar until creamy
  2. Fold flour in
  3. Beat egg white until stiff and fold into batter
  4. Fill pan with wax paper
  5. Pour batter into pans and bake for 20 minutes at 180oC
  6. Ice with cream and jam
